The Fund’s development was led by an anonymous donor, with additional contributions from area philanthropists and private foundations. The Fund is encouraging additional contributions from the public and is hoping to boost the total pool available to $1.5 million. The Fund will give priority to businesses in sectors most important to a town’s vitality and character, particularly food, lodging, retail, personal care, outdoor recreation, pet care, landscaping, arts, and local publications.
